Justice League Movie

How Can DC Comics/Warner Bros. Go About Making Justice League Into A Feature Length Film?

Everyone’s opinion will vary, and when or if there is ever such a film, everyone’s opinion will once again be different. Look at Green Lantern, personally I liked it, it made me interested in the comic book which I wasn’t at all before, I have a thing for comic book movies so that is why I went. If history proves anything it is extremely hard to please the hardcore crowd, add the pressure of critics and drawing in new crowds, it is an amazing task and I guess always at the least a financial risk making movies of any nature.  So, I guess it is almost safe to run with what has worked whenever possible, Batman’s current creative mind in film, Chris Nolan, is also involved in the upcoming Man Of Steel. Nolan’s films outside comic book genre films do well, and then add that Batman Begins was really good, then The Dark Knight was off the charts pleasing critics, most hardcore peeps, etc etc. So, having him (and his brother) involved as much as you can in your other projects makes total sense.

In my opinion, this would be the first step in making a Justice League movie. Sign Nolan, or possibly, another director of his choice to do whatever they want to do. But, personally I would go one of two ways, first would be similar to the Marvel route with a few titles leading into one with The Avengers and the movies the lead up to it. However, with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern as the main films. Each of them would introduce other members of the Justice League, who may not be able to be the lead characters of their own movies *cough Aquaman cough*. With heavy references of what is happening in the other movies, with the characters hearing of it through the media and such. Along with this I would also have The Flash appear in all the movies, being the fastest man alive it would make some sense as to how, and he could be the connection between them all. Of course all the movies would lead into the Justice League film.

The other is simply a Trilogy or 4 part Saga. Justice League 1, 2, and 3 or however they would be titled. Risky, because well, what if the first and/or second one tanks and the final parts don’t get released. Harder to “lock in” actors and actresses for this many films, and if not shot in succession, then run the chance of the people bailing out of finishing their roles in the final films. So, preferably pre-plan it, and sign the talent to concrete deals, and leave them hanging at the end of the movies leading up to the final chapter.

As for character choice for the roster, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and Aquaman are in for sure. Paring Batman with Green Arrow, Superman and Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern with The Flash, Wonder Woman getting stuck with Aquaman aha Or I would add Hawkman, Cyborg or Captain Marvel pairing up with Supes, Martian Manhunter would then go with Green Lantern Hal Jordan, and The Flash would simply be in all the movies. If it was a multi part Justice League, then I would also include an array of cameo appearances for other members of the League, such as Cyborg, Hawkman, Black Canary, Robin, etc. Villain choice would correspond with the characters in each film, facing off against their main foes who are all either working for or being manipulated by the main villain in the Justice League movie (Darkseid perhaps?). Hmmm, these are most definitely a relaunch of the films as  I heard Christopher Nolan said there will never be another Joker in his movies.....it is a must for at least a small role in my opinion.

Actor and actress choosing is possibly the hardest part. Which route is the best route, a group of unknowns, or some headliners? Some people fear typecasting that may follow while others bask in the roles. With using Hollywood’s better known, there is also risk of wanting more screen time (Heard X-Men: The Last Stand had issues with this) and a much higher price tag taking away from other areas of the film. Using unknowns, cheaper but they may not get over with the audience due to lack of experience (not everyone is Christopher Reeves). So, possibly leave the roles of Batman and Superman for tried and true celebs in either scenario, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern if in the first situation of being lead up films, but strong supporting actress and actor in the second being a multi part Justice League.

Here are some possible choices for who would play whom, some are people I used to want but time has taken that shot away and some would require some dedication either in the gym or acting classes to perfect their craft or simply learn to take Nolan’s direction well;

Batman- Ray Stevenson
Superman- Hugh Jackman
Wonder Woman- Lucy Lawless
Green Lantern- Ryan Reynolds
The Flash- Chris Evans
The Joker- Me ahaha
Lex Luthor- John Malkovich
Cheetah- Charlize Theron
Black Adam- Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Lucy Lawless was perfect to play Wonder Woman back in the day, Xena showed us that, but now a tad too old perhaps depending on the story or I guess she could play another Amazonian in the Wonder Woman movie. Same with John Malkovich, but back in the day he would have been great as Luthor, because in my opinion he can play anyone awesomely. And I would use Ryan Reynolds again, as he is a perfect fit to dawn the ring, but imagine how great he would be with Nolan’s direction. Not sure if Chris Evans is tall enough to play The Flash, but I liked him as The Human Torch in the Fantastic 4 movies and now currently as Captain America so I think he could pull it off. Saw a picture of the Rock photoshopped into Black Adam and it was spot on, and The Great One does have to ability to pull it off. Loved Ray Stevenson as The Punisher, and strongly feel he could be Batman in a “The Man Who Laughs” look to the character. Hugh Jackman as Superman, not 100% on that, but I want him involved, great hard working actor, just look at what he has done with Wolverine, and how much he has embraced that character.

That’s how I would do it, but simply put DC Comics and Warner Bros. need to get on this, can’t ride Batman’s cape forever, and like I mentioned some characters will need small roles in this movie to test their worth in the feature films.

How would you go about launching the Justice League? And who would you include character and actor wise?

Stay Nerdy.

Nerdy Magazine Day

Usually I do the "forecasts" a day or so before Nerdy Magazine Day reaches us, but I have to be honest, I have been distracted as of late. It started out with playing Batman: Arkham City on my PS3 and now has led to me being semi-obsessed with DC Universe Online. Which is free to play now in case you were unaware like I was. What can I say? I love free shiz aha You can still pay to play the game in Legends Mode, with absolute full access to the game, but the free version is quite sufficient if I do say so myself. So far I have made 3 characters to play as. All from scratch, with downloadable/purchasable items as an option. First is my Hero, The Shwa....ahahaha Yes, I named him The Shwa, it is what the city I live in is nicknamed, but also I have a hard time finding names that work, the obvious are taken of course. The Shwa is mentored by Batman, and well I have and am trying to style him after the capes crusader both in looks and with no real super powers. All black cape and cowl, eventually I will be able to buy the more Batman-esque stuff from Batgirl in the Watchtower (oh, there is that, plus Gotham City and Metropolis, that is just what I have seen so far). My second character that I made is ClownKingOfChaos, and you guessed it, styled after and mentored by The Joker. Like The Shwa, ClownKingOfChaos has no real superpowers, however unlike The Shwa, my Villain comes with a nice set of guns, one for each hand, currently just basic ones really but there are bigger and better to be bought and earned. And so far, the weapons have made it a lot easier to kick arse and survive. Finally, there is my new Hero, which I am somewhat playing as I type this out, Ryan Lindon. Yep, just my name, I was going for Green Lantern Lindon and anything close to that but nothing would work. I have styled and profiled him after a Green Lantern obviously, best that I could, however I will be purchasing the Green Lantern DLC that apparently allows you to look the part as a member of the Green Lantern Corps., or any corps maybe, I swear I have seen some Atrocitus and other Red Lanterns out on the streets so other players possibly used the pack to make that, soooooo if that is the case then a Red Lantern will most def' be on deck. Ryan Lindon is unlike the previous two, having some superpowers and the ability of flight in place of the regular or "Flash" mode. Already I am enjoying watching him fly around with a nice green trail behind him. Oh, and he is mentored by Superman (Batman/Supes/Wonder Woman are the options).

It will take me awhile to get the real hang of things, like I said in previous posts, not a hardcore gamer here. I have to say though, DC Universe Online has everything that I have liked from the few genres I like. Free Roaming a la Grand Theft Auto, have spent a few hours just roaming the cities looking for "info" and "riddle" markers, as well as visiting places like Arkham Asylum and Metropolis to check them out. Comic Book genre helps of course, and then there is the creative aspect that I only ever really enjoyed in the pro wrestling games, mainly WWE titles. Already three peeps made, and thinking/wanting to make others.

Sorry if anyone relied on this blog for this weeks new releases, like I said, I became occupied, and no I am not one "them" (Wall Street, Google it if your all wtf aha). Today it is going to be a comic of Nerdy's choice if her Catwoman #3 is "not suitable for her age", but so far so good imo. It is Batman #3, and Justice League #3, which I need to add to the list for the "Lindon File" at Worlds Collide (my comic shop of choice). At this rate, hunting for back issues will require a financial upgrade on my part ahaha Geez, even so if they add a few new titles to the list of 52 currently being made by DC Comics. A new Bat or Lantern title would be a given almost. Annnnnnd here's the list of titles that DC Comics has coming out today at your local comic book store (list provided by ComicList.com)

Another Self Promotion Entry

Yep, it is that time again. Shameless self promotion time that is aha Sticking with my more recent attempts at what others consider art, attempts meaning I am trying. Keyword there. Undereducated and my program is craptacular, so don't judge too hard.

Mostly using pics of myself and nerdy as the "characters", I've tried my hand at making comic book covers. Mainly Bat-esque of course, but the Red Lanterns isn't finished till I get myself a t-shirt or hoody with the Red Lantern Corps emblem on it (narcasim and what have you aha).

I guess I shall mention my recent additions to the collection. Atrocitus mini-statue (from Blackest Night) which looks bad ass other then the chip on the back of his armor (shed a tear), but enjoyed the book that came with it discussing Altrocitus and the Blackest Night saga. My Sweets, while getting her recent House of .....something Darkness? Anyhow, she got that and bought me the hardcover edition of the video game tie-in series Batman: Arkham City. Which was nice as it came with the scenes/chapters that was digital and not shown in the traditional paper comic book form (which I completed of course). Next on the list are going to be things for my lil Nerdy for Christmas. Hard to shop for a young girl in the comic book genre, well at least without the online shopping option at the time. Especially in the clothing department, as there is basically nothing for the ladies in the stores. And too bad the DC Comics Lego doesn't come out until January of 2012. Nerd, and myself would have loved to get that for Christmas aha I am thinking of having one of the covers above printed and framed, I think she would get a kick out of it ahaha

Forecast n Social Media

Tomorrow is once again, Nerdy Magazine Day. So, there shall be the forecast, or the list of what DC Comics titles are hitting the shelves on Wednesday, from ComicList.com as usual, but save that for the end of this entry.

Social media is of course a good tool for business. So many people, with a mass majority of what they enjoy, ranging from favorite movies and books, to daily activities. Of course, comic books are into the social media end of biz, seeing how majority of their target audiences are glued to their computers and/or devices. As most already know, or may be just finding out, but Google has Google+ up and running now to compete against Facebook (is MySpace still around? aha). And now Google+ has "pages" for companies or brands to get build and do as they do on Facebook. I even made my own page, as I have one on FB (started as a gamer there). DC Comics and Marvel have of course made their pages, find DC Comics at https://plus.google.com/u/0/113519537265944504829 and Marvel is at https://plus.google.com/108523337373444601877

Now, I am no guru or pro, but I can see businesses favoring Google+ over Facebook because it is fresh, less fake accounts (at the beginining) and it has the power of being probably the best known search engine out there, which I am sure adds to the appeal. So, if you don't have an account yet, get going, you may "miss" something. DC Comics is even offering a peek at Batman #3 if your into that kinda thing, I am not as I shall wait till it is in my hands. That issue comes out on November 16th, 2011 which is the next Nerdy Magazine Day after tomorrows.

As for tomorrows releases, here is what DC Comics has coming out. For myself and my lovely daughter, Nerdy, it looks to be Batgirl #3 and Batwoman #3 for her, and Batman And Robin #3 as well as Green Lantern #3 for myself. I have only skimmed through Batgirl and Batwoman (as well as Catwoman) just to ensure there wasn't something I don't want her reading or seeing, so I don't know too much as to what is happening in those titles. Other than Babs is back as Batgirl (THANK GOD! Been too long). Batman And Robin I am liking as I am curious as to Damian Wayne's future as Robin. Will he be another "failure" as Batman see's Jason Todd's run as the Boy Wonder? Right off the bat (no pun intended), they are dealing with the issue of Damian overcoming his killer instincts, which makes me wonder if every storyline is simply going to be a redo of the previous with him being tested or pushed to the limits of his control? Or will he overcome quickly, and possibly start teaching Batman some things? I like it when I am curious like this, means the writing has been good so far. Of course it is really hard to tell with my select titles, seeing as they are all relaunched DC Comics titles, they are all open to "I wonder where they're going with this". But I like it. I like it a lot hahaha

My curiosity is also there when reading Green Lantern. Right now Sinestro is at the forefront as a reinstated member of the Green Lantern Corps. with a semi-ringless Hal Jordan at his side. Semi-ringless as in, Sinestro has what was once Hal's ring, and Sinestro "made" him a ring with his ring.....um, does this make more sense? Hal's current ring is a construct from Sinestro's ring, and has abiliities. Anyhow, they are teamed up (by Sinestro's choice) to take on the Sinestro Corps. aka Yellow Lanterns, who have taken over Sinestro's home planet of  Korugar. The curiosity I have in this is, what happens after this? Will he reclaim his spot as leader of the Sinestro Corps using the power of fear to his advantage? Or will he remain a member of the Green Lantern Corps? Where will that leave Hal Jordan? Who is full Green Lantern in Justice League. Will we perhaps see Hal join another color of the spectrum? Maybe Yellow, and like the Red Lanterns become heroes? Speaking of Red Lanterns, loving that title. Atrocitus has picked a member of the corps to help him lead the lanterns. Having picked Bleez, there raises a lot of questions now as to whether or not she actually "played" Atrocitus into giving back her intelligence. Will she turn? If, so what happens to Atrocitus? Or will we see possibly a union between the two and have a blood filled, rage fueled, universe wide couple ass kicking? aha

Back to that list I mentioned I guess, before I ramble on about every title I am reading aha

Nightwing DLC and Forcast

I popped a cherry of mine, as I hadn't done it before, but I bought a $20 PSN (PlayStation Network) card. Now I can purchase things from the online PlayStation store that catch my eye and aren't of my preferred status, which is free aha I usually stay away from this as I generally good to go with how a game is, and like I have mentioned before not a hardcore gamer here so few things interest me, except for of course comic book (and wrestling) games.

I was a little iffy as I am now suffering those error messages that seemed to be the norm when the game launched. After getting in touch with Warner Bros Games about my Sinestro Corps Skin, they tell  me I now need to scan and email copies of my reciept, the game and the code slip. My scanner doesn't work so they are going to have to accept photos of said things. Seems like a lot of work just to get a new outfit for Batman, however it is not the point, I bought the Green Lantern combo pack for this skin, and I am getting this skin aha I would have just got the DVD version (since I can't really tell what was "extended" on the Blu-Ray), and I won a contest back in Mar or May, and still no prize and no word from the peeps who held the contest (for a DC Comics 75th Anniversary book), so I NEEEEEED the Sinestro Skin. Need it aha. Despite the problems, I got the card and of course immediately purchased the Nightwing Combo Pack for Batman: Arkham City.

Which so far I am enjoying. It wasn't anything major. Just Nightwing being playable in Challenge Mode, he came with an Animated Series skin, and a couple Challenge Maps that take us inside Wayne Manor. I had read that his movement were a butch Catwoman somewhere, and after playing myself I would have to disagree. I can see where the person is coming from, as Nightwing fights quicker than Batman like Catwoman does. He has more aerial offense than Batman similar to Catwoman. But, his style is really all his own (for now, have to see how Robin does his thing), keeping with his acrobatic origin, his fighting style is most aerial and uses the Escrima Sticks for his power shots. Catwoman oozes femininity in her movements, Nightwing does not, ergo not a butch Catwoman, just a quicker form of the Bat. I am eager to play as Robin at the end of the month, hopefully he has his own style and isn't just a Nightwing knock-off.

I do wonder if all these DLC characters for Batman: Arkham City are hints as to what is coming in the next chapter of this video game series. If you have played, then you know that Hush is a very strong possibility to be in the next installment. The game isn't even a month old and I am talking about the next one already, it is just how I roll. Especially when the game was awesome and I have completed most of it aha Not sure if they will continue on using the "Arkham" name, but Batman: Gotham City would work for me. And I would of course like frequent access to The Bat Cave and Wayne Manor. I would also like to drive the Batmobile around too. I am sure I would be pushing it in wanting to also hit the water a la the Batboat or any Bat-Aquatic Vehicle. And dreams are what flying the Batwing is made of. But, speaking of the sky, I would like to see an attempt at some flight battles with say Man-Bat. Of course some grapple gun and other moves would be needed for Batman to stay up there, but would even settle for having to plant explosives and lure Man-Bat into the trap. And open the flood gates on the character, especially villain, appearances. Not just clues or pictures, but walking and preferably talking. Don't have to be apart of the over-all story but it is nice to see who is in the Universe that is Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Or if there is a break-out of some sorts from Arkham Asylum, Blackgate Prison or the cells at GCPD, then have some unused baddies used in the video footage of the event.

Of course tomorrow is once again that time of the week that most call New Comic Book Day, but I dubbed Nerdy Magazine Day (yes, a spin off of Billy Madison's Nudie Magazine Day aha). Last week didn't end up being the cheap week I had intended with only 1 or 2 issues for us turning into multiple issues and a Flash t-shirt. This week, I may pick up a storage box so I can keep all my comic books together in one spot, something to fill the spot while I think about making something (a chest or something perhaps). Comic Book wise it would appear that for my Nerdy (daughter) it is going to be a back issue of choice or new Archie, for me it is Detective Comics #3 and Red Lanterns #3. Both of which I am looking forward to reading, with Red Lanterns #3 focusing on Bleez as the Red Lanterns leader Atrocitus looks to "promote" a member of his Corp. In Detective Comics #3 going deeper into The Dollmaker and company a new (I think) cast of Villains to Gotham. And maybe, I will see/read more about what is up with The Joker and his current face-less situation.

Other publishers new releases can be found at ComicList.com which is where I got this list, although I could have just gone to DC Comics webpage for that as well.

Halloween 2011

A pic I made last year
Another Halloween has passed by, as quickly as Christmas does every year. Yes, for some of us, All Hallows Eve is like Christmas. The fun, the excitement, a little bit of stress to even it all out. Okay, it is a typical "holiday" aha I know most would disagree, but there are too many similarities to fully deny, similar to say Christmas to may find yourself attending a variety of social gatherings leading up to, and following the holiday. And not all, but most especially those with kids do some sort of decorating, whether it is a "big thing" and you do many homemade projects to decorate, or your a spender and buy decorations, decorations the kiddies made at school on even just the fridge, to simply carving a pumpkin. Pumpkin carving alone should make it a true holiday on the fact that we go out and pick a pumpkin, we take it home and in some homes (mine at times) literally risk life and limb to carve it. And as I mentioned, Halloween can come with stress, which is almost a common thing in all households. Stress size depends on person and situation, finding the time now a days with say shift work making it difficult to even take the kids out trick or treating. Satisfying some kids with their costumes can be stressful, I know I was hard to please as a kid, especially one year when my mother made me a Batman outfit, that looking back was pretty damn good, but because my neighbour had one of those pro-sewers for a mom (cause thats all she had to do all day, my mom had stuff to do but found the time) and his Batman costume was "better" than mine. Sorry Ma! And there are many other stressful things that make this a holiday, but it is the most fun of the group that at least a majority of North America celebrate.
From 2010- I 'shopped it

Another thing that I am noticing anymore, is that also like other holidays, Halloween is somewhat dying off or evolving into something different than at least my norm. I don't know if it is the economy, candy is too expensive nowadays, neighborhoods are getting worse, or kids just don't care anymore, but each year, I am seeing less and less children out on the streets trick or treating. It is somewhat sad really, there were tons of kids hitting the streets when I was younger. Now I know it isn't a population thing as there are more humans today living on this planet. Heck, even the vandalism seems to be almost none existent anymore aha What can I say, seeing eggs shells on the cement or T.P.'d trees the next day was a reminder that Halloween was here aha

Of course, it could just be my location, perhaps Halloween if flourishing elsewhere. I would like to think so. It is a favorite time of year for me of course, so much that while looking at costumes for my darling little Nerdy trying to find or put together female comic book characters, I notice the wee lil Batman, Superman and Spider-Man costumes (others of course), and I join in with My Sweets in wanting another child. A boy of course, as another little girl I would have to wait a few years hoping I can convert her like Nerdy, who is also running out of years to trick or treat, and even less time that I may be able to convince her to go Comic Book for the event. And that topic lead My Sweets and I to talk about when Nerd is older and the convo may be more of me saying, "No your not wearing that *Insert Comic Book Character* costume. Your 17 and you wore that exact size when you were 4!" ahahaha But, I may just give in by then as teen girls will be teen girls from what I hear, so be happy she is still my Nerdy and wearing a heroic costume ahaha
Nerdy and myself this year

This year My Nerdy,(who is my daughter if thee haven't caught on yet aha) started out as wanting to be a black cat, not Black Cat from the Spidey Universe just a simple black kitty cat. Of course she was willing to change if we could find her a Wonder Woman costume, as it was the only person left for her to dress up as having been Batgirl and Supergirl the previous two years. But, the only thing that I could find was a pink version of the Supergirl outfit but no Wonder Woman. So, as her great grandmother made her a simple black hooded sweater with a tail (we live in Canada, the hoody was perfect as it gets quite nippy up here on Halloween) and some gloves that had nails but they were too big really, but it still worked. I was determined to keep our comic book streak alive so I figured Catwoman has soooooo many looks that our version, which I dubbed the Canadian Catwoman, I would just take what she had for her black kitty and add a Cat Mask (which had little ears, so Nerdy left out her head band ears which would have worked too) and a six foot black bullwhip ahaha Yes, my little seven year old Catwoman was sporting a whip longer than I am tall, and like myself, she was getting some great snaps and cracks with the whip. So, pretty much I would say our Canadian Catwoman looked like a new age thief/cat burglar imo. I of course, was what I also dub the Canadian version, or The Clown In Black, which is myself as The Joker but wearing a black suit. Hey, if he was real and tons of others dressed like him, he would change it up so that he would stand out aha That and I think it was a black suit in the episode named The Joker's Favor in Batman: The Animated Series. At least these are my stories and I am sticking with 'em aha Also, my Sweets was ill so she didn't "dress up" but she did buy some Bat antenna headpiece, and said she was a "Disease that went....Batty." She may deny it, but this is more proof that she is one of us ahaha

Before I had my Nerdy, and even now leading up to Halloween, I really enjoy watching the specials on television, both new and old. Any sitcom that I may watch I like to see Halloween episodes, just as I like it when they include Christmas ones as I find it somewhat helps get in the mood when your not one for caroling or frequent parties. I liked That 70's Show, going back a little bit but even The Fresh Prince Of Belair had some decent shows, nothing big just themed towards the night of ghouls and ghosts. Of course, there is the traditional, or should be considered that by now, oops again myself, Treehouse Of Horror from The Simpson's is a must every year at this time. Even when they are off the air (landed 2 more seasons btw) I would love to see them do a new Treehouse Of Horror every Halloween. There are also some classics like It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown or Garfield's Halloween Adventure, the list goes on.
The Simpson's
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

There is also SNL's Wayne's World Halloween skit that I love. I can't find it on Youtube but it had the Top 10 Worst Halloween Treats. It was hee-ha-larious.

But, it is all over now. Another year until we do it all again, and if the rumors are true, it could be our last Halloween here on Earth ahaha I guess it is time to get ready for Christmas, Thanksgiving for the Yanks would be next, but worldly it is Christmas. Which I have added a touch of Nerdism in the past, having had the 3 of us dress up as The Joker, Harley Quinn and Batgirl on Christmas Eve for a family Christmas photo aha I even got 1000 peeps to join a group on Facebook to convince my Sweets to be Harley aha I think I just may do something this year too, either very similar or maybe another set of characters. I have nothing but time to think about it ahahahaha

Oh, and depending on your location, there may also be a Comic Con in your area....I'm jealous. No really, I have to wait until March. Jealous....

DC Forecast and more Batman: Arkham City

Tomorrow is yet again, Nerdy Magazine Day or New Comic Book Day for those who aren't me aha It is a cheaper week for me, maybe, as there is only one title on my list that is coming in and that is Batman: The Dark Knight #2 which we'll see what happens when Two-Face juiced up takes on Batman. Nerdy will either grab an Archie or maybe another Tiny Titan issue, or a back issue of Catwoman, or another heroine.
Batman: The Dark Knight #2

I have been enjoying Batman: Arkham City, just finishing up the trophies a la The Riddler for both Batman and Catwoman. And I know that I won't get all the PSN Trophies, cause I simply don't have the skill to pull them all off, my Nerdy however, if she continues to play video games I think she'd be getting every trophy. Only 7 years old and she was unloading combo's as Catwoman ranging from 28-34 hits each combo. And then to top it off, she beat my personal high score for one of the challenges......the dramatic side of her makes the showboating and trash talking quite entertaining aha

I've been reading about a lot of DLC issues with the new game, with downloads being corrupt or invalid or missing. I've suffered the problem of my Sinestro Corps Skin code not working, which is really the only reason I got the combo pack for the movie Green Lantern, YES I would have bought the DVD as I LIKED THE MOVIE (sorry, everywhere I read, it is bad reviews for this movie, I disagree, obviously aha). I hope that they get all of these issues worked out because I really want my Sinestro Corps skin, but am  wanting to purchase the Robin (Nov 22), Nightwing (Nov.1) and the extra Catwoman combo packs. As well as any of the other Batman skins out there, which I have read as being 70's style Suit, Batman Beyond Suit, The Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller) style, among others. All of them are available as a combo pack on December 6th, 2011. Okay, so I am wanting to get all of them ahaha Won't be that much, and I never realized how easy it is, but like I have said before not a heavy gamer.

Character Styles

As I play Batman: Arkham City, I've beaten the story mode twice now and am aiming for 100%. But, I am dabbling in the challenge modes, where you can play as either Batman or Catwoman, with any of the "skins" that are available. Currently with my Catwoman DLC came Batman: The Animated Series and The Long Halloween style Catwomen. I like this a lot, as although I really enjoy the "current" look of Selina Kyle, it is The Long Halloween and Michelle Pfeiffer's costume that are my favorite Catwoman styles.

This made me think of other characters in the comic book world, how they have evolved or changed looks, and which of these I like the most. Sometimes it is hard to pick just one, as at times a costume in a comic book just looks silly on the big screen in live action, and visa versa with the details of a live action costume are just too much to have to draw into every frame of a comic book. And then at times it is simply just a matter of which artist is preferred to draw the character as some have very unique pencilling styles that make them look a bit different both in good ways or bad.

Batman
The Dark Knight (2008-Movie). Of all the film versions of Batman, this suit covers both style and substance. Looking great, but unlike previous versions, this one allowed movement which opens up Batman’s repertoire of fighting skills.
Comic Book wise although I will always love the blue on gray with the yellow and black emblem, as is was what the bat was wearing when I came into the comic book universe. However, now I prefer the black on gray, with the black emblem across the chest but the next sentence makes the blue on gray okay if presented. As for artists, I never had one for Batman before, however now it is preferred to have Adam Kubert or Jim Lee behind the pencils.

Catwoman
This feline fatal has had many many looks through out the years, and some I like just for special occassions or as a transitional costume to a newer better one. Michelle Pfeiffer is my all-time favourite version of Catwoman even of the comic books. The black vinyl with white thread marks visible. Didn’t care for Halle’s version, despite how hot she looked, and from what I saw of Anne Hathaway in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises other then the suit not a fan, the mask looks silly to me, kitty needs more of a cowl than a masquerade  head piece in my opinion.
Comic Book style it is a cross between The Long Halloween version and the updated version (I think was started by Jim Lee) are tied for second. Both of which is available to me in the video game Batman: Arkham City along with the Animated Series suit, which along with the purple and black suit of the 90’s is a tie for third. And classic 1960's Catwomen outfits on television are great at times but miss the cowl that I said I need on my kitty aha

Venom
The movie version in my opinion was just okay, looked more like a black Carnage than Eddie Brock. Not picking, just compared to all the other characters that were displayed in the trilogy, who were very close resemblance to the comic book versions. Comic Books, I guess I have to go with which artists rendition I prefer the most as like many others, haven’t changed that much really other than who is pencilling the title showcasing Venom. I have to go with Todd MacFarlane, who is Venom’s creator (one of two actually), He doesn’t look too much different than Spidey, other than being in black form and a lot bulkier. The tongue for me is optional, like it sometimes, sometimes I don't.

Superman
From what I have seen from The Man Of Steel, I am liking the suit more than the ones of the past. I know a lot of purists will only ever want the tights, with the red undies of course, but Christopher Reeves was a rarity, having the build and acting ability to pull off being Superman. I did also like the suit in Superman Returns.
In the comic books, The Black Suit from when he returned from the grave is my tops, but as for the classic blue and red look, I am going with the new relaunched version. No red undies, which is what I like the most about it. Yes, it takes away from little kids playing dress up at home pulling the tighty whiteys over blue pants, but it also takes away one of the things that is laughed at in comic books by outsiders, along with tights, among other things like Batman and Robin (which is now changed too). We’ll see how long this look lasts though, as new artists take the helm, etc.
The Joker
I loved Jack Nicholson’s Joker in Batman (1989) and I liked that Cesar Romero refused to shave the moustache, but Heath Ledger’s version of Mr. J is where it is at for me. It is also why my favourite comic book version is the one portrayed in the graphic novel Joker. Common link is the Glasgow Smile. In my head I can definitely see it worked into what is known as The Joker’s origin.
Runner-up would have to be neither Jack nor Cesar nor another comic book version, but that of The Joker presented in both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City video games. Not including the Titan Joker or the deathly looking Mr. J in Arkham City, those I am not too fond of. I also liked how the Clown Prince Of Crime was looking near and after the relaunch of DC Comics titles, but I could do without the bullet hole scar right between the eyes.

The Punisher
Out of all three renditions presented on film, The Punisher of my choice is from The Punisher: War Zone. The look was spot on, especially with Ray Steveson in the lead role. The opening action scene was how The Punisher should be portrayed slicing, dicing, neck breaking and shooting the hell out of people. Although I understood the psychological aspect of the popsicle in The Punisher (2004), it was still cheesy for my tastes.
As for comic book wise, I am not really a reader, only having read a few issues in my life time, but I would have to say keep it combat ready with a decent skull on the chest, or simply follow The Punisher: War Zone and that look.

Wolverine
I have to admit, when I heard who was playing Wolverine in the X-Men movie back in 2000, I was “Who the *censored* is Hugh Jackman?”. But, as the films have shown, especially in X-Men Origins: Wolverine where he jacked up to really look the part to even making a cameo appearance in X-Men: First Class showing how much he really loves the role that pretty much made him in some peoples eyes. As for the comic books, my time in the X-Men Universe there were two options, Blue and Yellow or Brown and Yellow. So, of those my preference is the Blue and Yellow, preferably without the mask at times, I like his hair style for some reason ahaha And of course I am pro adamantium laced skeleton, I only enjoyed a few frames from various issues with just the bone claws.
