I went to my local comic shop (Worlds Collide, love the name) to pick up "DC Comics: The New 52 #1". Just to see what really is happening this coming September with the re-launch. I must admit that this was pretty smart, as I am sure many out there are like me and have been sitting here for weeks trying to figure out what was truth and fiction from the reports scattered across the net.

Well, the issue helped, but only a little bit. Very brief descriptions of the titles so they didn't give too much away. But, confirmed things that were reported but I couldn't "believe".

Example, Green Lantern will be about Sinestro, not Hal Jordan. I have never been a real follower of the Lantern. But, I know enough to know, Sinestro is one of the best VILLAINS ever. Is this perhaps why he's now going to be returning to the Green Lanterns? Villains do seem to be more intriguing than some heroes. Especially when the villain is a "fallen hero". So, although I am sitting here wondering WTF are they gonna do with Hal? But at the same time a bit interested in seeing how this plays out.

One thing that I am not a fan of in any aspect, is that my Sweets...er The Joker's Sweets, Harley Quinn, is now a member of the Suicide Squad. Are you serious? Harley, in my opinion, belongs in Gotham City. I feel that they should have had her do this before the relaunch, could have even crossed-over with "Gotham City Sirens" (which I will miss greatly) and had HQ join in the end to save Catwoman and Ivy.

Also, I think there a few too many titles. 10 or 11 different titles in the Batman line alone. The only reason I like this, is for future cross-over stories (ie "KnightFall"), as it makes for a massive story, and fun to collect all the issues needed for the story.

Other than that, I am really looking forward to this re-launch. As a Nerd who is re-entering the comic world (explain where I went at another time), and was wondering "where" to jump back in, this is the best time for me to do so. I am also, getting my daughter (whom I call my Nerdy) into the genre too. And again, great time to get her started.

A message to all those money hungry assclowns out there. I know your gonna rush out and scoop up as many #1's as you can. Just do us a favour, and by #'s 2-up in the same fashion! I will be grabbing more #1's then just "Batman" and "Detective Comics", but thats to see if I would like to continue (Action Comics, Superman, The Flash and Green Lantern).

I was going to type out the titles and the dates they drop. But, I have decided to encourage you to head to your local comic book store and pick up your own issue of "DC Comics: The New 52 #1". Its absolutely FREE, and everyone loves free shizz! Plus, while your there take a look around, spoil yourself and buy something.
