Soon I shall be picking up Batgirl #2 for my Nerdy, and for myself it is Batman & Robin #2. Which made me think of the title for a moment, and in my opinion, Damian Wayne, Robin. Clearly has similarities to the second Robin, Jason Todd when comparing Damian to those who dawned the Boy Wonder mantle before him. Hurting criminals unnecessarily (more than needed on lower levels, or without getting what they need first, etc), arrogance, basically almost the exact opposites of Dick Grayson and Tim Drake in the compassion department. We’ve seen what happened with Jason Todd, “dying” by The Joker’s hand, coming back as a new Red Hood. Jason was/is the blemish on Batman’s personal record, seeing it as his fault, his failure. So, with Damian showing similarities, add being the son of Batman, this won’t be “allowed” to happen again. Bruce Wayne wouldn’t allow it, or would try anything to stop it. Personally, after taking a peek at the cover for Batman & Robin #2, I think Batman is going to go to the extreme and take everything to the limit, a tad crazy, fail at times (purposely) as to possibly scare Robin straight. It could work, as I am sure that there is a respect for Bruce, and for his "control", and seeing him snap would possibly cause Damian to rethink his ways. Just a thought that crossed my mind, on the cover Batman looks crazed and Robin looks concerned. We’ll see come this Nerdy Magazine Day.

Personally, looking at the list, only having one title this week combined with loving Red Lanterns, I am seriously considering picking up Green Lantern #1 and #2. It "stars" Sinestro. Which I found and still find somewhat intriguing. I didn't read the title before, but the movie made me actually appreciate it and the characters within. Namely, Sinestro as I like Villains more than the Heroes usually. And that is what Sinestro mainly was, a Villain, leader of the Sinestro Corps (Yellow Lanterns). So, seeing he is at the forefront of the relaunched Green Lantern title, I am curious as to where they take him. Are we going to see him fall back to the dark side so to speak? Or is he just going to be a bad-ass member of the Green Lantern Corps? Dunno, admittingly it sounds somewhat marketed, because Hal Jordan is still a Green Lantern (he is in Justice League America), so why isn't he the main man in Green Lantern with Sinestro possibly having a Sinestro Corps or Yellow Lanterns title similar to Red Lanterns? Guess, like you, I need to read to find out for myself ahahahaha

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canucks!
